Bethany and Blake’s Maroon Bells destination wedding in Aspen, Colorado, was an event like no other. Having Bethany as my second photographer for the past three years made documenting their wedding day truly special. We’ve spent countless hours working together, capturing the love stories of so many couples, but this time, I had the honor of photographing Bethany’s.
We kicked off their wedding week with a breathtaking portrait session at Maroon Bells, one of Bethany and Blake’s favorite hiking spots. The Crater Lake Trail, with its stunning mountain views, was the perfect backdrop for their couple’s portraits. We started by shooting right at the overlook, just steps from the parking lot, where the views are nothing short of magnificent. From there, we ventured onto the trail, capturing intimate moments amid the natural beauty of Aspen’s towering peaks.
The wedding ceremony itself took place in Lake George, Colorado, surrounded by family, friends, and even more incredible views of the Colorado landscape. The setting was a reflection of Bethany and Blake’s adventurous spirits and love for the outdoors. It was heartwarming to see them exchange vows in such a personal and meaningful location.
Being able to travel to Colorado for this Maroon Bells destination wedding was such a privilege, and witnessing Bethany and Blake’s love story unfold in two breathtaking locations was an experience I’ll never forget. From the serene beauty of Maroon Bells to the sweeping vistas of Lake George, every moment was filled with joy, love, and the kind of natural beauty that perfectly mirrored their connection.
